This piece is inspired by ongoing air quality research conducted in my local community by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The DNR continuously monitors air conditions throughout the state and uses the data to report on ongoing trends in pollution and wildfire smoke. I am currently building an exhibition piece that accompanies their ongoing research at Havenwoods State Park. Once completed, the installation will dynamically adjust its lighting colors to reflect current air quality levels, bringing environmental data to life through art. The project is currently in the build phase, with installation planned for Spring 2026 at the Havenwoods Nature Center.
